East Coast Chant
led by creator Tonia Pinheiro [vocals, crystal bowls, percussion] with musical support by Ukumbwa Sauti [percussion, midi-keyboard, electronic atmospheres and vocals] and Paul Rodriguez [guitar and vocals]. East Coast Chant is an eclectic combination of jazz club, folk cafe, improvisation, kirtan, darshan, ecstatic dance, spiritual practice, and personal and planetary healing.
Who attends East Coast Chant?
People who enjoy East Coast Chant like that it is both a performance and a personal experience. It’s a performance that you can sit back and enjoy, and then get to participate by singing, chanting, dancing, interacting, and both giving and receiving benefits during the personal and planetary healing ritual and prayers.
The adults, young people and children who attend East Coast Chant enjoy mixing their spiritual life with their everyday living and entertainment. These are people with open minds and hearts and do their best to practice their values and beliefs in all situations, not just the ‘appropriate’ or publicly noticed ones.
People who attend East Coast Chant enjoy hearing certain words like Divine Source, Holy Spirit, The Universe, Divine Mother, Ascended Master, Archangel, Logos, and don't mind hearing names such as God, Goddess, Allah, Yahweh, Buddha, Metatron, Mother Mary, Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Quan Yin, Sanat Kumara, or Melchizedek, in an unexpected context. They also don’t get offended, distracted or uncomfortable when some words might seem racy, inappropriate, or 'dark' in what might otherwise be considered a spiritual context or event. East Coast Chant is about real life ~ in an expanded "being the change and living the dream while fully awake" kind of way.
